Through direct contact with the world’s second largest cocoa producing country, Ghana, we are creating community benefits. Old cocoa trees don’t produce a good crop and Ghana’s trees are old – some over 50 years. We are now in the third year of our seedlings programme during which time we have provided local, independent farmers with close to 100,000 seedlings. The first are already producing pods. These new trees will boost the farmers productivity.
